I saw the original when I was 12. I didn't particularly like it then, but I think I'm gonna give it another chance. I'm 22 now (the old man) so I think I may like it now. I saw the remake in theaters twice. So needless to say I really liked it. I have it on dvd now as well.

Yeah, a lot of people give it flak. I think it is because they are so in love with the original. I think it gets unfairly bashed. Most people that didn't like it went into the theater expecting not to like it.
