The original is definitely a classic and must see movie!! The remake was great but I wasn't scared at all and wish there could have been more gore in the movie. In my opinion nothing will beat the original.

May I ask why? There are many reasons why I liked the remake better than the original. To start off with, how leatherface killed the teenagers in the original. For one, only one of them was actually killed with a chainsaw, so what was the point of calling him the TEXAS CHAINSAW MASSACRE? Also, he seemed to have killed all of the cast in like 15-20 minutes. Not only that, but the fact that Sally got really annoying, screaming and running. If she would have shut up, maybe it would have been so easy for him to find her! I know Erin made huge mistakes in the remake too (Like not grabbing the chainsaw when she had a chance) but if she had, the movie would have ended earlier, and there really wouldnt be a scene at the meat factory. There wasnt much you could change to the original, but just adding a little more plot to it. I liked the original, Im not saying it was bad, because truly I liked it, but Im still saying that the remake was better.

Well, if you can run away from a maniac cannibal with a chainsaw, without screaming then be my guest!

I really didn't care for the new TCM at all. I think the old one was the bomb movie and would like to get my hands on the DVD. Along with pt. 2 and 3. The Next Generation sucked as well.

I liked it but not as much as the original. I might even go as far to say I liked part 3 better than the remake also.

I can't believe I haven't posted in here yet I love TCM, it is my favorite horror movie. I like the remake but not as much as the original. Nothing can top that in my book. It seemed disturbing to me and had a documentary type feel to it. Awesome movie!
