I figured we needed a weather thread here so... Here's my video of tonight's storm. It has rained hard all day on and off. I might get out in the morning and take some pictures of the flooding. You can't see much, but the sound is pretty loud especially when I go out into my sunroom. Below is the radar picture right now! It looks like we are still going to get it! The dark orange line west of Charlotte is what went over us during that video.

Awesome vid!! We got a wicked thunderstorm, I mean wicked, about a month ago. Rain was so loud, it was almost terrifying. I've never heard rain like that. It was unbelievable! I was wondering where your sun room was, then I heard the rain pounding once you went in.

Yeah it has a vinyl roof. It's awesome in the rain.
It never did snow, but it got plenty cold.

I don't know if it's just me, but I highly prefer the cold to the heat.

I don't mind either one too much, as long as I don't have to sleep in either extreme. Fall is my favorite type of weather.

That would probably be mine, as well. If not Fall, then definitely Winter.

I like Winter as long as there is snow or sleet. I get bored of everything being dead after about a month. Then I'm ready for all my plants to come back out.
Do the leaves and plants all die off every Winter in California like they do here? I know that in Florida it stays mostly green all year.

Most plants do stay green, but trees do lose their leaves. I think I like Winter, because it isn't as terribly cold as most places since I live, pretty much directly under the sun.

I guess there is a lot of temperature ranges close to where you live. Like the mild San Diego climate near the ocean all the way to the deserts and even the high mountains with lots of snow. Right where you live is it mostly like the desert?

It's not so much a desert anymore. It's actually very highly populated now. But it's called "The High Desert". It's mostly dirt. Glorious, glorious dirt.
