Awesome, it's getting wound up tonight. Manning and RG3 are both on the field... at least for a play or two. It's about time.
Back where he belongs... on the field!!!Congrats on getting the Great One on your team Jason... I'm over it now, I ain't gonna lie I wanted him in orange and teal really bad. I'm happy that he's in Denver if he couldn't be a fin and I'm pulling hard for him. You and Chris get out here and I'll get us tickets to the Denver at Carolina game ;D I'd like to see him once.

I would love that. Hopefully I get laid off around that time so I can take a road trip out there. My Dad and I were going to go to the Chargers and Broncos game this year in San Diego, but the Chargers won't allow you to buy tickets to the game unless you're also buying a game against the Jaguars, or have Chargers season tickets. It seems like an obvious attempt to get rid of all the Bronco fans that crowd Qualcomm stadium. I've been to two games there and watched the Broncos win twice, and the crowd was packed with Denver fans. What a loser mentality. I guess San Diego will enjoy the empty stadium come game time. ;D Got to see Manning play. He looked great, and it was odd, finally seeing a truly great passer on our team since Elway. It's almost like we have version 2 of Elway, Eddie Mac and Rod Smith.

My rookie qb Tannehill looked good... he might actually be the starter.
I hope you don't lose your job, but it would be great to go see that game. I haven't made up my mind quite yet but I'm leaning toward Denver vs GB as my SB pick this year. Depends on how long it takes Manning to get warmed up, he is a notoriously slow starter when he has been out... but when he gets hot...
Check Ebay for tickets... you can get them much cheaper as season ticket holders sell them for a fraction of the single game price. That's how I get all my tickets. We are going back down to Atlanta next week for 2 games. We are sitting about 10 rows back from the Braves dugout. Both nights I got both tickets for less than one of them at face value.

Perhaps I will check that out! Should I wait days before the game? Or look for tickets earlier?
I hope you're right about Denver making the Super Bowl. I was VERY impressed with the defense against the Bears. My favorite pick in this year's draft (Derek Wolfe, DE) was sacking everyone tonight. ;D
I hope for your sake that Tannehill is the starter. Matt Moore has had his chance to prove he can take you far, but I don't think he has the potential that Tannehill has.

Matt Moore is a genuinely good guy. I've met him multiple times when he was a Panther at training camp. But he is a very good back up. He out plays his talent level and is consistent. You are right on the money Jason. I hope we keep him for a long time, but as a back up.
I'm kind of glad we got the Chad Johnson thing outta the way early. After watching the first episode of Hard Knocks it didn't look like he was going to make it anyway. Now we don't have that distraction.
As for the Ebay thing... you are on the right track. The prices fluctuate and you'll need to check back a few times to get the best price. It will never be as low as MLB or NBA but you should be able to find single game tickets instead of those silly bundle deals and it is likely they will be a bit cheaper.
If you can catch it close to game day but still be sure you will have time to pick up your tickets... that might be the cheapest as they are starting to worry if they'll sell them... that's when I've seen the biggest markdowns.

Sweet. I'll probably look into that, soon.
If I could pick a game to see live it would be Denver at home against New Orleans. What a treat to watch your team at home, and with the two best quarterbacks in the league, duking it out.
Chad needs to get his personal life in check. I like the guy, but he doesn't belong on the football field, right now.

I would only like to see something like that if neither of the two qbs were on my team... a loss there would suck major. If you can stand it though... a win would ROCK!!! I can handle seeing a young Cam go against Manning and it wouldn't bother me either way who would win (As long as they both throw/run for 300 yds and several TDs each). Looking back... I don't think I could handle getting to see Marino one time and the Fins losing to Elway, Favre or Montana lol... It's better I never saw him than seeing that (A Montana loss would have fn' killed me). I had two 50 yard line seats to see Marino the last time he played in Carolina. Of course I got a severe ear infection and couldn't stand up. That was my one chance and I never got to see him in person. They won 10-0 and he didn't throw a TD so it wasn't terribly disappointing. Tannehill looked decent again against the Panthers. The rest of the team royally sucked

Tough to really tell how good a team is during preseason, though. The Broncos wiped out the Bears effortlessly, but were dominated the following week by a much lesser team than Chicago. It's all up in the air, really. That sucks about not getting to see Marino. Did you ever have a bit of disdain for the big time quarterbacks that were talked about with Marino? I'm like that now, to be honest. Not much at all as a kid. Especially if I don't feel like they deserve to be mentioned in the greats. Brady, in my opinion, probably wouldn't even make my top 25 quarterbacks. I just don't see the comparisons between him and Manning at all. It's like comparing Barry Sanders to Ottis Anderson, or Jerry Rice to Tim Brown. It should be clear who the better quarterback is. And I was saying this LONG before Manning became a Bronco. If we'd have got Brady for whatever reason, that would've killed me. End rant. Well, we've got Manning for five years, so we'll see him go against Cam in the future. Might be in Denver, though. As we have played the last two or three games against the Panthers in Carolina.

Montana bothered me a lot... I like him, he seems pretty cool, but to hear everyone say he was better than Marino was nonsense. They were totally basing it on the SB wins... which I'll always maintain that's a team thing and we all know what kind of team Montana had around him compared to Marino.
I always liked most of the others. I didn't like Elway at first when he was not wanting to go to the Colts. But just like Eli Manning I started liking him quick after watching him play. My Dad was a huge Bronco fan (he loved Craig Morton) and it was easy for me to fall in with him cheering for Elway and company.
I loved being a fan during that time watching Elway, Boomer, Randall, Kelly, Kosar and all those guys. I never felt any competition toward them (except when they played the Fins). None of them ever were similar to Marino - they all had their own styles and skills and I enjoyed them all.

I liked Jim Kelly when I was a kid. Jim Everett I always liked, then I became a big fan when I saw him take it to Jim Rome. ;D
