I'd love to see those youtube clips. It's kind of crazy, my Dad always showed me how to throw a football when I grew up, too. I was always an accuracy hound, too, but just never had the arm strength that some other kids had. I was naturally smaller than everyone. Just interesting seeing David in pretty much the exact same position I was in.
Some in-game vids would be rad, too. ;D

They put him at TE and LB. He doesn't play much at defense but he played more in that scrimmage than he did all year last year. Didn't get much in the way of pix... it rained.

Nice. Have they recommended any diets? There was a thunderstorm here Sunday night/Monday morning. Around 7AM lightning struck SOMETHING close to me, because that mofo was loud as can be. Car alarms went off.  |

That's always funny. No to the diet. David is still under weight so his diet is just EAT MORE. He's going up and out, but not filling in. It will come though, he is stronger in the frame than last year. Here are the few pix of him I have up so far. He has changed numbers this year. He chose #19 for the Braves Andrelton Simmons one of his favorites. |

Dang. It seems like he gets bigger every time you post new photos of him. I'm not even a parent and I already know what they mean when they say they grow up too fast. 36 looks like he wants to eat the camera. |

Those guys are tough. All of them... they really practice them hard. And you can tell when it comes to game time, they are always in much better condition than the other team. David loves it, he loves to run and work out. He'll stay after practice and actually run more hills with a few guys sometimes.

It makes me tremendously happy to see him get along so well with everybody. David's Wolverines are 5-0 so far this season. They didn't allow a SINGLE point until last week. Their arch rivals, the Rutherford Raiders, scored a garbage time TD in the 4th quarter (I think the final was 20-6)... and that is still the only points against our defense as they won 33-0 yesterday. |

He's not interested in girlies yet. I aggravate him all the time about it and tell him that very soon that will be all he's into. He doesn't believe me.
That Sam Gordon is awesome, but she wouldn't be as effective in the league here - she'd be good, but she'd run the risk of getting hurt. There is a kid on David's team as big as I am and he's super fast. He's put one kid on the ambulance and hit another so hard he laid down on the ground every time he saw him afterwards. And David is on the 7-8 team. Sam would play against the next age up.
I've got to try to get some video so you can see what I mean. I just don't have the ability to get any with my phone. It has an OK camera but it doesn't zoom at all. I will try to get a hold of some from somebody else with an actual video camera.
This league is really intense. I laugh every time I see that commercial with Jim Harbaugh coaching the little kids. They act like he's being ridiculously hard on them. He's a bunny rabbit compared to David's coaches. They scream and yell like it's basic training. Nothing out of line, but they are strict. I think it's great and David enjoys it.
